Are you looking for valuable hands on experience
that will enrich what you have already learned and give you a
competitive advantage over your peers? Are you a highly-motivated
individual that is not afraid to take the initiative to get things
done? Are you ready to make an impact on an organization? If so, you
may be the next member of our JRW internship class.
Tax, Audit or Accounting, we don't make you choose.
Our internships are designed to mirror a first year staff accountant
position and are focused on broadening your experiences, enriching
the skills you have and developing new ones. As an intern you
will:
- Be exposed to all areas of tax, audit and accounting work
- Work and interact with staff accountants, managers and
partners on a daily basis as an active contributing member
of our client engagement teams
- Interact with clients directly
- Develop your technical skills, business development skills and
client relationship skills
- Experience our culture and environment first hand
Our internships typically last between 10 and
13 weeks and are offered in either the winter/spring or during the
summer. Our internships can be either full-time or part-time,
depending on your schedule.
Our program is more than just a 13 week experience;
it is designed to give you an idea of what a full-time staff
accountant position would be like with our firm. At the end of your
internship experience, we evaluate you and give you an opportunity
to evaluate us. For those candidates that have a desire to begin
their careers with us and that fit well within the JRW team, we
typically have opportunities for them after graduation.
We look
for the best and the brightest to fill our internship positions. To
qualify, you must:
- Be eligible to work in the United States of America
permanently after graduation
- Be an accounting major working towards getting your CPA
license and graduating with 150 hours
- Have been through your intermediate level accounting classes
by the time your internship starts
Our internships are about having fun and getting
acquainted with Chicago. Whether it is socializing after work with a
few co-workers, attending a Cubs or White Sox game, or playing on
our softball team during the summer, you get an opportunity to
experience the Chicago lifestyle.
If you are a summer
intern, you also get to experience one of our work/life balance
programs, which means you only work four days a week.
